About Me
- About Me: In 1997 I fullfilled one lifelong dream and emigrated from Germany to the US. I had always felt "out of place" in my own homecountry and felt a real strong bond with and a pull towards the US. After the events of 9/11 my resolve to become a US citizen only grew stronger and I put in my application as soon as I could (which is 5 years after immigration) at the end of 2001 and became a fully naturalized US citizen in 2002. I've made wonderful friends online mainly through different message boards and now through Xanga. My friend Cynde (cyndelee) got me into blogging and I will be eternally grateful to her for that. All my life I have kept diaries and journals. This just takes it into the 21st century. I'm addicted to it now and it's the BEST outlet to decompress! (plus it's a great opportunity to keep in touch with those friends I "left behind".
