I gotta get back into blogging. I love blogging. I just got lazy. Facebook is so easy to stay in touch, but it doesn't quench my blogging thirst. So I'm gonna try to spend some more time on here again. For now I'm gonna start with this survey. Harry Potter movie review should be coming up in a few days. I'm still trying to digest and get over my "initial reaction".
1. Favorite childhood book? It was a series, they were about a horse name Fury - by an author named Miller. I recently looked them up and you can still get some of them on amazon or ebay.
3. What books do you have on request at the library? Eat, Pray, Love - I gotta go pick it up!
4. Bad book habit? Probably dog-earing!

6. Do you have an e-reader? Not really, I can read on my iphone, though!
7. Do you prefer to read one book at a time or several at once? One to read - one to listen to in the car.
8. Have your reading habits changed since starting a blog? Nope

11. How often do you read out of your comfort zone? I don't know that I have one. If I see something I might like I go for it.

13. Can you read on the bus? I can read on a plane or a train, but not on the bus or a car! I get motion sickness. In the car I can't even look at something for a minute!
14. Favorite place to read? Anyhwere - probably curled up on the couch.
15. What is your policy on book lending? Only to people I really, really love and trust.
16. Do you ever dog-ear books? I've been guilty of this often, yes.
17. Do you ever write in the margins of your books? Yes.
18. Not even with text books? I wrote in those as well. They still sell back well.
19. What is your favorite language to read in? English. But since I'm German, I will read books by German authors in German.
20. What makes you love a book? If I get so totally lost in the story that it is hard for me to come out. A little like Inkheart. I want to live in the book, or better, I get drawn in. I don't want to put the book down, not even for a second!

28. Favorite reading snack? I have a hard time coordinating reading and snacking at the same time.
29. Name a case in which hype ruined your reading experience. Can't think of one right now
30. How often do you agree with critics about a book? It's a crap shoot. There is just no accounting for taste.
31. How do you feel about giving bad/negative reviews? It's not personal - I wouldn't make it personal, just my taste.....
32. If you could read in a foreign language, which language would you chose? French - I know a little and it's beautiful, but it's hard.
33. Most intimidating book you’ve ever read? I guess Gone with the Wind. I never finished it.
34. Most intimidating book you’re too nervous to begin? Lord of the Rings. Tried reading it 3 times - too nervous to pick it up again
35. Favorite Poet? Edgar Allan Poe, Goethe
36. How many books do you usually have checked out of the library at any given time? one at a time.
37. How often have you returned book to the library unread? Once - see #33
38. Favorite fictional character? Winnetou!
39. Favorite fictional villain? This one is a bit tough...Dracula or Voldemort.
40. Books I’m most likely to bring on vacation? easy, quick, beach reads. They may be tearjerkers or hilarious or romances.

45. Most disappointing film adaptation? It's a toss-up between Eragon (so much potential!) and The Neverending Story
46. The most money I’ve ever spent in the bookstore at one time? I used to work at a bookstore to make extra money - what a joke - the paycheck ended up right back in the store!
47. How often do you skim a book before reading it? aaaaahhhhh skimming? I don't!
48. What would cause you to stop reading a book half-way through? If I have to force myself to read!
49. Do you like to keep your books organized? Sort of by Genre.
50. Do you prefer to keep books or give them away once you’ve read them? Keep. I'm a book hoarder.

52. Name a book that made you angry. Can't think of one off the top of my head.
53. A book you didn’t expect to like but did? Harry Potter series. I worked at a bookstore at the time and the whole frenzy turned me totally off. I didn't even want to go near the books. Everytime somebody wanted to buy one I would roll my eyes. But movie nerd that I am I DID want to see the movie when the first one came out. And book nerd that I am I did not want to see the movie without having read the book. The rest is history. There were already 3 books out at the time. I went back to the store the next day to pick up the other two!
