  • THE 2008 THING!

    It's New Year's Eve. Wow .... how fast this year flew by. Seriously! We keep saying that, but I think the older we get the faster time goes by. I really do. Anyway.... time to reflect back on the last year. How better than with those lovely surveys and questionnaires? Will you join me? I tage everybody that wants to participate! I love catching up with people like that!

    I didn't make any last year.

    1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
    Quit a job before having a new one.

    2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
    I'm not sure that I had any. For next year I will vow to get on the Wii fit every day  and I will take piano lessons this year!

    3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
    yes - Julie

    4. Did anyone close to you die?
    Yes - I still can't believe Anette is gone.

    5. What countries did you visit?
    none - sigh

    6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
    some sense of "normalcy" and a job

    7. What date(s) from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
    July 1st - my last day with Delta, one sad day in August (see #4), October 4-6 Equus Trip to NY with Cynde and 11/20 through 23! - Twilight girls weekend out and visit from Angie

    8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
    I don't feel I've achieved anything, really.

    9. What was your biggest failure?
    still not paying off my bills.....

    10. Did you suffer any illness or injury?
    nope - thank God!

    11. What was the best thing you bought?
    My Macbook, hands down - together with the ipod touch and the wireless printer.... Woot - Thank you Cynde!

    12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
    Cynde for going through with WW, Sylvi and family for taking me in, Angie for going on a roadtrip for the first time and spending an important moment with me!

    13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

    bills, the laptop

    15.What did you get really, really, really excited about?
    duh!

    i. happier or sadder? - happier .... I think
    ii. thinner or fatter? - thinner ... thanks to WW
    iii. richer or poorer? - about the same, but considering I don't have a job lined up yet - poorer

    18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
    writing

    20. How will you be spending Christmas?
    traditional Christmas Eve at home

    None :(

    The West Wing (reruns ... LOL)

    24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
    I'm a lover, not a fighter .... umm... hater.....

    25. What was the best book you read?
    hmmm Breaking Dawn comes to mind (or Midnight Sun, if that counts) ... but I'm not done with Inkdeath yet.

    26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
    Muse (sorry Shana); and rediscovered 3 Doors Down

    27. What did you want and get?
    Retirement from Delta and moving to Colorado.

    28. What did you want and not get?
    paying off my bills

    29. What was your favorite film of this year?
    I liked a few..... Twilight, though not THE best movie has to be MY favorite, though, because it has Rob in a leading role.

    30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
    went to sis for a little party. I was.... um .... 25 .... (again)

    31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
    if we had known in July that we're going to Colorado and moved earlier.

    32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
    jeans, shorts and t-shirts still rule, but the jeans are size 10/12 now and the shirts M or L, instead of 2X -  Woot!

    33. What kept you sane?
    Who says I stayed sane??? - LOL - but yeah... my sis and my animals

    34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
    ummm... what's that guys name..... you know... the guy that played Edward in that movie...... you know.... Robert Pattinson, duh!

    35. What political issue stirred you the most?
    aerial hunting of wolves in Alaska, and proposition 8, I suppose

    I guess that would be Dawn

    We make plans - God laughs
